Marie Imbert (1968), née en France, grandit à Paris puis vit à Bruxelles, Tokyo et Washington, DC. Au contact d’autres cultures, elle est à la recherche de nouvelles influences et expériences. Passionnée de photographie depuis trente ans, Marie a obtenu un certificat de photographie au Montgomery College dans le Maryland, USA (2017). Elle a exposé aux États-Unis, à Bethesda dans le Maryland (2017) et à Washington, DC (2019).  Ainsi qu’à Bruxelles (galerie mhaata, 2021) et Paris (atelier MBC, 2021) pour montrer son travelling photographique en train autour des Etats-Unis. Elle a exposé sa série ‘Nos Silences’, plus intime, à Paris (2022) et Bruxelles (Rouge Cloître, 2023). En juin 2023 (22 au 25), sa nouvelle série sur l’Itinérance est à l’affiche à Paris (atelier MBC, Vavin). Ses photographies sont dans des collections privées aux États-Unis, en France et en Belgique. Antoine d’Agata, photographe de l’agence Magnum, rencontré à l’occasion d’un workshop aux Rencontres d’Arles en 2016, lui a confié : « Tu as un vrai sens de la beauté que tu dois cultiver ».

Marie Imbert (1968) was born in France and grew up in Paris. She has since lived in Brussels, Tokyo and Washington, DC. When interacting with other cultures, she seeks new inspirations and experiences. Passionate about photography for thirty years, Marie got a photography certificate from Montgomery College in Maryland, USA (2017). She has exhibited her work in the United States (Bethesda, Maryland – 2017 and Washington, DC – 2019). As well as in Brussels (gallery mhaata, 2021) and Paris (atelier MBC, 2021) to show her train journey around the United States. She has exhibited her series ‘Nos Silences’, a more intimate one, in Paris (2022) and Brussels (Rouge Cloître, 2023). In June 2023 (22 to 25), her new series ‘Itinérance’ is shown in Paris (atelier MBC, Vavin). Her photographs are in private collections in the United States, France and Belgium. Antoine d’Agata, a Magnum agency photographer who met Marie at the Rencontres d’Arles workshop in 2016, told her: “You have an actual sense of beauty that you must continue to cultivate.”
